What are cookies?
Cookies are an extremely common technology for remembering certain information about a visitor to a website. A cookie is a data file, which often includes a unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web server and is then stored on the hard drive of the device you are using to browse the website. Each website you visit can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it. To protect your privacy your browser only permits a website to access cookies it has already sent to you, not cookies sent to you by other sites.
Users have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time (see section below on how to control and delete cookies).
You can find more information about the types of cookies we use on the Site and the purposes for which we use them in the table below. The general expiry date for our cookies is 24 months:

These cookies will also be used to track your account status, for example if you are logged in or out of your account and provide the relevant content in respect of your status.
These cookies can also be used to: (a) remember changes you have made to text size, fonts and other parts of the Site that you can customise; (b) provide services you have asked for such as watching a video or commenting on a blog; and (c) allow an optional service to function such as offering a live chat session.
The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites. This cookie is a session cookie, it is deleted when you close your browser or log out of your account (using the account log out button).
